Can’t get enough of Discovery. I’ve had it on repeat all day.
Recently got a package from SF writer and designer, Nate One. Back in the early 90′s I photographed one of his pieces at Psycho City and recently sent it to him. He hooked me up with some dope t-shirts, promotional postcards and a hand written letter on his very own letterhead. To show my appreciation I have selected a stack of old school graffiti flicks taken in SF during the same time, to send him.

I have been designing a few things lately. Here are some logos I recently finished and a save the date.
i just reformatted my computer and forgot to save my bookmarks for firefox. some how i though they were saved on d: drive. sigh. i know i tend to horde all types of bookmarks; some i never even revisit. However, now i feel like i need them to feel complete. this is gonna take a while to get over. it silly actually. i know by heart all the important urls i need and frequently visit yet i am heartbroken by my act of carelessness. maybe its a sign to move away from the computer and and to not be so dependent. honestly i cant think of a single url that I really need that i cant rememeber
I had quite a collection of bookmarks though. so many design sights for references. tons of tutorials, blogs, and sites for downloading textures, patterns and images.
i guess ill have to start rebuilding my bookmarks again. when did i get so dependent on my computer?

Been working on a save the date for my cousin’s wedding. In doing so, I have been listening to a lot of slow jams and wedding music for this project. I have also been doing research on all types of wedding designs and invitations. Abbie at Passing Notes has been a big influence. i think her concepts are also great. I contacted her in the fall to see if she had any internships open. i think i would of had better luck if i waited till the spring or summer.
After reading an interview on Stefan Sagmeister, I wanted to try and create a design that is more emotion-based rather than idea-base. That means less work for me on the concept and more on the overall design.
Can I adjust the leading on that quote? I wanted to test how pull quotes were made in WordPress. Anyways, back to designing.

i hate when i have great ideas but forget to write them down.
From the way things are going this will be a random blog but hopefully also a blog not just about me but about you. yes, you the audience.
Too many blogs are about the blogger and not enough is focused on the readers. Much like an job interview, the interviewer is just as important as the interviewee. I will try my best to keep this as entertaining as i can for your enjoyment.
Whether its today tomorrow or years from now. eventually all time capsules get found.

Getting more familiar with wordpress and CSS. Should have a final design for blog by the end of the week.
Found some cool info graphics at at GOOD. I have been listening to This American Life lately. They have some really good shows. Just found out the host uses to help with the Joe Frank Radio Show. Its no wonder I am a fan.
Will do some more web updates tomorrow and try to do some running.

need to make a sweet tile for blog. I sent out the portfolio thank you letters today. need to update website tomorrow. need to change the header on blog.
oh yeah found a cool design workshop in Basel, Switzerland that focuses on poster and type design. I’m interested in checking it out. Perhaps next summer when I have money I will apply. Time to do some reading.
