just finished my portfolio!!! I am happy with the results. now that its done i can design some new projects and make another portfolio. but first their will be some updates to my website and blog. whew! been real busy last couple of days. my room looks like the aftermath of a hurricane again. been thinking about letterpress and silk screening some promotional postcards. this is a neat poster!

Here are some photos from the Hug Life show at Giant Robot over the weekend! I’ll be helping them out with a website in the coming weeks. On another note…This Friday I am looking forward to snowboarding for the first time this season. I’ve never picked up the first chair, but I plan to go early enough this time to get it!

I need to learn PHP. I came across this site while thumbing through the cards I picked up during my visit to CCA. I really like the fading images. I am thinking of adding that to my website as soon as I can figure out how to make it. lol.

Next week I will learn how to handle the film for creating silk screened images onto clothing. but this week I will try to catch up on some sleep.

Last Wednesday I was dying paper again with coffee because the last batch got attacked by mold. Anyways, I forgot to wear gloves and I ended up absorbing all the caffeine though my fingers. I didn’t realize this until I was was wide awake in bed at 4am in the morning, that I forgot to wear gloves.

Some cool stuff going on right here. I might have to buy this book now. Wait, I found something much cooler! I am gaga for information design!! xoxo

I am staying busy with projects so this will be a quick post. I was broke this year so I decides to make presents for people instead. Here is me dying paper for one of the presents.

Below is the dyed paper being put to use. It’s a emergency cold & flu kit. this was my first time making this so the production was not as sharp as I hoped it would be. i plan to produce two more by April so I should have the production down enough to add it to my portfolio.

The work i saw was scary good…

Okay so I finally finished a mixtape. after telling myself I was gonna make one well, here it is. It started off as a small side project with only 8 songs but I managed to pack in 22 songs. so its another insomia fill late night for me. after making the rounds in the mission and a bacon wrapped hotdog later im at home blogging away. What to write, lets see…i am stoked (do people still say stoked?) to hear back from doug about his experience at Basel type design program. I am looking forward to attending next summers type design program if i can gather the funds and reserve a slot in the workshop.

so i plan to make a cd mix over the weekend. been inspired by KN; who seems to produce several mixtapes/casts every time i visit his blog.

Poster makes it seem so easy.

For some reason im tired but not sleepy. maybe because i took a nap earlier..but its 5am and im still no where close to falling asleeep. anyway, i didnt just try to lay in bed hoping that by closing my eyes it would trick my body into sleep mode. Instead, i ended up brainstorming and putting together some design ideas.

i finally have the concept for the wine label design, after days of stabbing in the dark. All it took was one night of insomnia! well. its almost dawn maybe i should pick up a sandwich and head over to the beach to catch the sunrise.

Took a quick look at the lunar calendar and tonight is the full moon!
